The following short story is an adaptation of Colin's last adventure, "The End of Planet Earth", and was featured as a fill-in-the-blanks exercise on said story's workseet (available under the "WORKSHEET" tag on this same site). This story, as well as the original comic it is based on, was written by Stella Maidment and Lorena Roberts.
The End of Planet Earth
Colin opens the parcel and finds a computer game. He puts the game in his computer and sees a message. Colin is in Computerland again. Colin and Clara are in a television studio. Zado is talking about the end of the Planet Earth. Zado goes out of the studio. Colin and Clara want to follow him. Clara hits the purple beam. They can’t get past it.
Colin and Clara have only got eight minutes to find Zado and save the Earth. They go to Zado’s control room. They see the giant meteor. Zado hears the alarm and finds Colin and Clara in his control room. He traps Colin and Clara in a cage.
Colin and Clara shout at Zado. Then Colin sees Zado’s head. Clara has an idea. Colin has got a water bottle. He throws water on Zado and that’s the end of Zado. Colin and Clara escape from the cage and run back to the controls.
Colin remembers the code on his computer screen and Zado’s words. Colin and Clara move the controls. The meteor isn’t going to the Earth any more! The Earth is safe!
