Stella Maidment


Stella Maidment is an experienced children's writer. She has published a wide range of titles for English-speaking children of all ages. She has written story books, puzzle books, activity books, re-tellings of classics such as the ‘Tales of the Arabian Nights’ and a major updating of Enid Blyton’s ‘Noddy’ stories.

She has also contributed stories, songs and activities to a number of different children's ELT (English Language Teaching) titles, including the Oxford Picture Power Dictionary, Fanfare and Zoom, and is co-author of Happy House and Happy Street.



Lorena Roberts


Lorena Roberts spent five years teaching English in Britain and abroad. During that time, she became particularly interested in teaching English to young learners. On her return to the UK, she became involved in children's educational publishing. It was while at Oxford University Press that she brought together her experience from both professions to work as an Editor on a number of successful primary ELT courses including Fanfare and Zoom!.

She has written two primary ELT coursebooks, Happy House and Happy Street, for Oxford University Press. She has also produced the Video Guide for the new Teddy's Train Video.
